Round 2 Grant Information
ALX B2BALX B2B Round Two
On Tuesday September 8th, the Alexandria City Council approved an additional $2.4 million to fund a second round of the Alexandria Back to Business (ALX B2B) grant program. These funds were available to qualifying small businesses and certain nonprofits to offset costs and/or investments related to reopening and rescaling their business. Earlier this year, Round One of the ALX B2B grants disbursed $3.495 million to 303 businesses that were negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
At the conclusion of Round 2 of the Alexandria Back to Business (B2B) grant program, 251 small businesses in the City of Alexandria, Virginia that have been negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic received grant awards. The ALX B2B Grants are being used to offset costs and/or investments related to reopening and rescaling their businesses. In the coming weeks, AEDP will release aggregate demographic information about the Round 2 applicant pool and awardees.
