Katie is an entrepreneur and former owner of AR Workshop Alexandria, an experiential DIY crafting studio and retail gift boutique. She launched AR Workshop Alexandria in 2016 and managed all aspects of the business until she successfully sold it in February 2024. Prior to owning her own business, Katie spent 15 years in corporate recruiting and HR and is highly skilled in strategic sourcing, talent engagement, hiring, and training.
Katie joins AEDP as a Small Business Consultant and is excited to work with prospective business owners and current entrepreneurs looking to grow and thrive in Alexandria.
Drawing on her entrepreneurial background, Katie offers both strategic and tactical skills and can share her knowledge and experiences of running a small business with focus in a range of areas, including: maximizing sales, enhancing the customer experience, brand loyalty, community and client engagement, operational efficiencies, and staff training and management.
