Alexandra is a seasoned bilingual entrepreneur and economic development professional with over 14 years of experience in driving economic growth, fostering community engagement, and empowering entrepreneurial initiatives. She currently works as a Technical Advisor for the Salvation Army World Service Office (SAWSO), where she develops and implements social enterprises that generate local income to support TSA’s community missions. Previously, Alexandra worked at the Latino Economic Development Center (LEDC), where she helped hundreds of entrepreneurs in the DMV area start and grow their businesses. Alexandra is also the former owner of Artesanías Macabeita, which supported indigenous artisans, particularly women in the Amazon of Ecuador. She is now the founder of Nunkui – Conscious and Vibrant Lives, a platform dedicated to empowering Indigenous communities and promoting wellness.
Alexandra joined the Alexandria Economic Development Partnership, offering expertise in local startup business registration, licensing, permitting, client acquisition, proof of concept, budgeting, etc. with a particular focus on food businesses. She helps entrepreneurs navigate the complexities of launching and growing their businesses, ensuring long-term sustainability and impact.
