Startup Spotlight: The Mentor Method joins Collision Conference

The fastest growing tech conference in the nation, Collision, is set to take place April 30-May 3, 2018. From the team behind Web Summit, this New Orleans based conference features CEO’s of fast-growing startups and representatives from large companies. Almost 20,000 attendees from 119 countries will be present.

Among the attendees is the coalition NOVA in NOLA, comprised of the Alexandria Economic Development Partnership (AEDP) and Arlington Economic Development (AED) in support of Northern Virginia startups. Startups chosen by NOVA in NOLA will be featured each week leading up to the conference.

Another exciting startup invited by NOVA in NOLA is The Mentor Method. This is an enterprise platform that strives to increase workplace diversity, inclusion, and engagement through curated mentorship programs.

“The Collision Conference is the perfect place to meet potential customers, investors, and advisors.” – Janice Omadeke, Founder & CEO of The Mentor Method

Omadeke is confident that Collision is the perfect next step for her company to grow. She explained how she is from Northern Virginia and believes that The Mentor Method can help increase workplace inclusion within this region.  Alongside information and resources gained from the SCORE convention, Alexandria and Arlington have helped her build her network. This March, Omadeke co-hosted an event with Tara Palacios, Director of BizLaunch at  Arlington Economic Development. It’s partnerships like this that further solidified Omadeke’s desire to represent Northern Virginia in this year’s conference.

Startup companies joining NOVA in NOLA were evaluated based on their current status, future needs, and potential impact on the region. Both Alexandria and Arlington are known for being at the forefront of the regionalism mindset and collaboration within the D.C. area.
